Data Update | 2018 Population Estimates

The latest population estimates for Fife have been released by the National Records for Scotland (2011 Data Zone based).

Based on the 2011 Census, these figures provide the best estimate of Fife's population.

The figures show that Fife's population continues to rise, although growth this year is smaller than previously. The population increased by 500 (0.1%), reaching a total of 371,910.

Much of the increase comes from West Fife, which has increased by 489 (0.3%). East Fife population increased by 0.1%, while Central Fife population had a decrease of 0.1%. East Fife increased by 99, while Central Fife decreased by 87.
